Lead Based Paint is reckoned as Health Hazard
The AS 4361.2 Guide to Lead Paint Management, Part 2 (2017): Residential and Commercial Buildings provides a definition of lead-based paint as a paint film or component coat of paint system containing lead or lead compounds, where the lead content exceeds 0.1% by weight of the dry film, as determined by laboratory testing.
Exposure to elevated levels of dust or paint can have adverse effects on both children and adults. Lead exposure may result in reproductive problems, high blood pressure, digestive issues, nerve and memory impairments, as well as muscular and joint pain.
